Empathetic and Individualized Nutrition Care
Welcome to Freedom With Nutrition.
I offer compassionate, individualized nutrition support tailored to your unique needs—whether you're in the early stages of recovery, struggling with disordered eating patterns, or feeling overwhelmed by the noise of nutrition messaging today.
I believe recovery isn’t one-size-fits-all. Everyone’s journey looks different—and that’s not just okay, it’s expected. My approach is collaborative, respectful, and grounded in science with a healthy dose of nuance and practicality. We’re a team, not a hierarchy and I’ll always center your lived experience and body autonomy in our work together.
One of the most important parts of my role is helping clients understand the why behind nutrition recommendations. Knowing how certain changes impact your brain, digestion, hormones, and overall health can make recovery feel more doable. I tailor care to fit each client—including those navigating co-occurring conditions like OCD, ADHD, GI issues, autoimmune challenges, food sensitivities, or limited variety.
Research shows that the relationship between provider and client is a key predictor of treatment success. That’s why I work hard to create a safe space where you feel seen, supported, and empowered. You already bring the most important tools to this work—your insight, your resilience, and the expertise you have on YOU.
I’ve worked across all levels of eating disorder care since 2017, including Center for Discovery in Del Mar, CA, Rady Children’s Hospital’s Medical Behavioral Unit in San Diego, CA, and from 2017–2025, I also served as the primary eating disorder RD at a group practice focused on eating disorder recovery.
I earned my Bachelor’s Degree in Nutrition from the University of Southern Mississippi in 2014, completed my dietetic internship and Certificate of Graduate Study in Eating Disorders from Northern Illinois University in 2016, and earned my Master of Science in Nutrition and Dietetics from Northern Illinois University in 2017. I became board-certified by the Commission on Dietetic Registration as a Registered Dietitian in 2017.
Outside of client sessions, I’m passionate about education and advocacy. I served as Education Chair for the San Diego IAEDP Chapter from 2017–2019 and have been quoted in national publications including Chicago Tribune, Chicago Sun-Times, Food & Nutrition Magazine, and WellSeek.
At the heart of my work is this belief: everyone deserves a peaceful, nourishing relationship with food and their body. I’m incredibly honored to walk alongside my clients as they move toward healing.
